Glycyrrhizic to fight dry and chapped skin

Natural glycyrrhizic acid with high efficiency

The root of the Glycyrrhiza glabra plant, better known as liquorice, is the basis of natural, highly effective glycyrrhizic acid which can also be found as an extract in many pharmaceutical and cosmetic products.  At GfN, we obtain 18-ß-glycyrrhetinic acid through hydrolysis, which in turn is the root extract from the Glycyrrhiza glabra plant. The structure of the acid is similar to that of cortisol and exhibits a similarly strong effect against inflammation and irritation (e.g. itch).
