Cupuaçu butter comes from the seeds of the Brazilian Theobroma Grandiflorum tree, is rich in phytosterols, and the composition of its fatty acids is unique. But the most impressive thing is its capability of absorbing enormous amounts of water. Cupuaçu butter can absorb up to 440% of water and is thus a real moisture professional, also in the long run. As an active agent, cupuaçu butter nourishes dry and damaged skin and supports the repair of the skin barrier, making it the ideal ingredient for sun protection or after-sun products. Skin that has been exposed to the sun or even suffered from sunburn should be specially nourished for several days to ensure its optimal regeneration. While after-sun products mainly provide moisture, a shower can easily dehydrate the skin again.
