Wald-Michelbach June 28th, 2019
On June 28th, 2019 companies GfN and Selco celebrated their summer and opening party. The reason for the celebration was the extensive completion of their new constructed buildings, which lasted almost seven years. A total of 3.5 million euros were invested in the site. All buildings from the years 1987, 1989, 1990 and 1991 have been completely refurbished. New windows with triple glazing were installed, LED lighting, pellet heating and many other energetic measures were taken. The new 300 square meter warehouse was built completely underground. Two new laboratories were built in the production building and a new lift system was installed on all floors. All production rooms have been renovated, have been given a new floor coating and have been partially equipped with new boiler mixing plants. The grounds were newly created, new parking lots built. Most of the work was done by local craftsmen. The two companies, with their 21 highly motivated employees, are now optimally positioned for the future and passed the ISO 9001: 2015 certification in May again. Now this completion has been celebrated together with customers and dealers from home and abroad, suppliers, craftsmen, representatives, the mayor of Wald-Michelbach Dr. Sascha Weber, friends and staff along with relatives. In total, around 200 guests came. Several guided tours throught the companies held by the senior management and longtime employee had taken place. The caterer Hirschwirt's BBQ from Oberzent was responsible for the physical well-being. Musically, the event was acoustically framed by a trio of men's combo from Freinsheim and a film about the history of the two companies was presented, by Argyrios Evdos from Evdos Productions.
